CONTEST WINNER MARCH 2019

The Eratosthenes Experiment March 2019, organized on the on 21^st  of  March by Ellinogermaniki Agogi’s (EA) Research and Development Department in collaboration with Hellenic Mathematical Society, under the support of theInternational Astronomical Union as well, in the framework of the celebrations for the IAU 100th anniversaryand the astronomical breakthroughs that have shaped science, technology and culture throughout the last century, received another tremendous response, as 802 schools from 77 countries all over the world participated in this celebration of science and education, calculating the circumference of the Earth by using eLearning educational tools and simple instruments.

80 schools and institutions joined the group of the Photo Contest March 2019 in ODS Eratosthenes Experiment community, submitting pictures capturing the schools’ involvement in the experiment.

Ms. Emmanouela Vamvaka from the 15th Primary School of Athens , in the city of Athens in Greece.

Ms. Emmanouela Vamvaka will receive a scholarship to attend the Inspiring Science Education Summer Academy 2018.
