The Eratosthenes Experiment September 2018, which was organised on the 24th of September 2018 by Ellinogermaniki Agogi’s (EA) Research and Development Department, under the auspices of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 and also with the collaboration of the Hellenic Mathematical Society, the participation of the UNESCO regional bureau for Science and Culture in Europe, Venice (Italy) and with the approval of the Greek Department of Education, received another tremendous response. 241 schools from 34 countries all over the world participated in this celebration of science and education, calculating the circumference of the Earth by using eLearning educational tools and simple instruments.
26 schools and institutions took part in the Eratosthenes Photo Contest September 2018, submitting pictures capturing the schools’ involvement in the experiment.
