CONTEST WINNER MARCH 2016

Winners of the March 2016 Eratosthenes Experiment Photo & Online Lesson Contests 

The Eratosthenes Experiment 2016, organized by Ellinogermaniki Agogi’s (EA) Research and Development Departmentas part of the Inspiring Science Education (ISE) project between the 16^th and 21^st of March 2016, received another tremendous response, as 1142 schools from all over the world participated in this celebration of science and education, calculating the circumference of the Earth by using eLearning educational tools and simple instruments.

144 schools and institutions took part in the Eratosthenes Photo Contest, submitting pictures capturing the schools’ involvement in the experiment.

There are two winners in the Eratosthenes Experiment March 2016 Photo Contest:

Mr Petros Koutroulis from the Tragaia Senior High School in the Island of Naxos in Greece

Ms Paola Castagnoli from the Liceo Scientifico Roiti in the city of Ferrara in Italy

Both will receive scholarships to attend the Inspiring Science Education Summer Academy 2016.

There were 89 entries in the Eratosthenes Experiment 2016 Online Lesson Contest:
The winner is Ms Marijana Karničnikfrom Osnovna Skola Zdenka Turkovica in Croatia, who will also receive a scholarship to attend the Inspiring Science Education Summer Academy 2016.
